As a per diem, nonexempt,  Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist , you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This position may work up to 19 hours/week and/or a minimum of 4 hours/month, and provide coverage for staff PTO and “as needed”.  This position may also work on-call up to 7 days per month.  There are no regularly scheduled hours for this position.

About the Facility:  The Indiana Spine Hospital, located in Carmel, IN, is a Center of Excellence for the comprehensive care of patients with spinal disorders and abnormalities. We are a destination medical facility providing a unique environment for the comprehensive care of all patients with spinal disorders. The combination of expert technical skills of our surgeons, caring staff for preoperative care, and facilities focused on spinal treatment and recovery, maximize optimal outcomes and patient experience. Our specialty physicians are dedicated to ongoing research, educational programs and innovation both in product development and procedures that assure the most current treatment at Indiana Spine Hospital.  Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

About the Pharmacy:  Pharmacy hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday from 7:00am-12:00noon.  Staff Pharmacists share a rotating schedule to cover on-call.

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written
