Dr. John Chambers is a board-certified, fellowship trained Orthopedic Spine
Surgeon who specializes in multiple aspects of adult and pediatric spine surgery for conditions such as scoliosis, trauma, disc herniations, spinal stenosis and degenerative conditions. He has been providing both operative and non-operative spine care for the residents of southern Indiana for over 20 years.
Dr. Chambers began his post-graduate studies by earning a degree in Chemistry at Eastern Kentucky University where he graduated with honors. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville and was elected to the Alpha Omega Honor Society for academic achievement. He completed an internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. While in Georgia, he served as a certified ring physician for United States Amateur Boxing as well as a ringside physician for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He advanced his training by completing a fellowship in spine surgery at the Leatherman Spine Center/Spine Institute for Special Surgery offering him the opportunity to work and train with several world-renowned leaders in spine health and surgery. His research and writing of orthopedic and spine topics has resulted in publications and presentations at major meetings.
Dr. Chambers remains an avid sports enthusiast and athlete having completed dozens of Ironman triathlons.
